Kevin Porter Jr: Shot Form Assessment

Porter has several issues with his jump shot. These begin with poor alignment, particularly when shooting off the catch. His knees tend to move inward during his shooting motion, sapping power from the shot and contributing to his tendency to miss short. An acute elbow angle and low release point contribute to a flatter arc on his shot. He is a lefty shooter that is right eye dominant, which is the primary reason for his issues with elbow flare. Finally, his wrist varies from shot to shot. All things considered, his accuracy is remarkably good considering the many mechanical issues.
